UPDATE: April has said that she knows she was wrong. So I’m calling for a stop to the comments. Thank you for everyone who posted them.

So, I have this friend April. She related a story to me recently about how she want to WM at back-to-school time, found that they were out of loose-leaf paper, and berated an employee who was standing there. Apparently swearing was involved.

Here’s what gets me. She reads this comic. She’s read them all, including my posts. And after I called her on her behavior, and told her that she was, indeed, an asshole, she was totally unrepentant. Apparently this employee deserved to be yelled at because he knew they were out of paper. And he still had the audacity to be out on the sales floor.

Don’t ask. I don’t understand this argument either. And I’m pretty sure I’m relaying it as it was said to me.

I’m being told right now, as I write this, that I should take it easy on my friend. I do not believe this is the case. I think she needs to understand that she was in the wrong here. I’m won’t call for her to be drawn and quartered like normal, though. That’s the mercy my friendship entails today.

However, I do call on you all to post in the comment box. Be civil, though. You may be vicious, but be civil.
